The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Accounting and Auditing Standards Board of Bhutan (AASBB) and the Royal Institute of Management (RIM) was signed on 19th September 2025 by the Chairman of AASBB and the Director General of RIM.
This MoU marks a significant step towards enhancing accounting profession in the Country through a collaborative framework. Under this partnership, RIM will offer academic courses on the Bhutanese Accounting Standards (BAS) and BAS for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (BAS for SMEs). As part of this agreement, AASBB will provide access to BAS & BAS for SMEs resources, curriculum and technical support. This initiative aims to strengthen accounting education and, build capacity of the graduates to enter the job market with practical skills and knowledge, particularly on BAS and BAS for SMEs.
