The AOSSG is a group of accounting standard-setters in the Asian-Oceanian region. It was formed in 2009 and currently comprises 28 accounting standard-setters from the Asian-Oceanian region. The Group provides a forum to share experiences on adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and contribute to the development of high-quality global accounting standards. The AOSSG aims to promote IFRS adoption in the region by strengthening the technical capabilities of national standard-setters, supporting the development and consistent application of IFRS Standards, and addressing regional financial reporting issues. Recognizing the importance of AOSSG, the Accounting and Auditing Standards Board of Bhutan signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Asian-Oceanian Standard-Setters Group on 27th November 2025 in Maldives during the 17th Annual AOSSG Meeting. Under this MoU, the AOSSG Secretariat shall provide outcomes of technical work of the AOSSG Working Groups and any significant matters discussed by the AOSSG.
