With support from the Asian Development Bank, AASBB is revising the Bhutanese Accounting Standards (BAS) 2020 to BAS 2026 to align with the latest International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS 2026), incorporating all updates issued up to 1st January 2026. This initiative forms part of Bhutan’s roadmap toward full IFRS adoption under the upcoming Five-Year Plan.
To support the effective transition and implementation of new pronouncements and amendments to existing standards, stakeholder training sessions and workshops are scheduled as follows:
